Update on Mandatory eBay Return Policy
eBay has extended the deadline for the Mandatory Return Policy to the beginning of 2009. That makes sense; as many sellers can have anywhere from 100-10,000 listings. Imagine manually changing each one. If you sell on eBay 100 items or more consider using an auction tool to upload your listings. Most tools allow you to make changes to your Policies at once.
Finally eBay has cleared something up. Return Policy is MANDATORY.
This means all they want you to do is State where you stand.
Example:
Return Policy: We accept returns in Brand New and in original packaging within 3 days from delivery. You must contact us for an RMA. Returns without an RMA will not be accepted…….
Return Policy: We do not Accept Returns. All are sales are final.
Don’t get the boot from eBay for not following a simple request. All business should be clear on their Policy. On or off eBay. The policy should be stated on your listing, website and store. Buyers are more likely to shop at your site if your Sate a Return Policy. Offer them the option to change their mind.
Our Return Policy varies from each online store. However, exceptions are always made for those loyal buyers. J
