Blogs that Make Money Part 3 – Baby products, this blog I started to hand over to my Sister-in-law. She is expecting and as any first Mom has tons of questions and want to buy all Organic and Green products. So, I gathered the information form vendors offering Green Products ..such as furnishings and toys.. While I was putting this together, we started getting traffic. I am sure its all due to the search term “Baby Green”. Soon she added of her daily life being pregnant for the first time and all the unknows. She has build a good following and blogs several times a day.

This blog does not use EntreCard or any other source to bring in traffic. Its all done by content and the trends term “Green Products Baby”etc….

Money: Ads running are Amazon, Commission Junctions and AdSense. The money breakdown has been AdSense $186.00 avg. per month, and $312.00 from all affiliates.  This money will come in handy for those necessities for the baby.

Notes: Blogging about Baby products and her pregnancy as a first timer is both a learning experience for her and audience. Not only is she excited about her baby but also all that she is learning. Sharing this information can take her blog to both a larger audience with higher earnings. The possibilities are endless. If you are running a Parent theme blog it is always good idea to incorporate today’s Trends such a Green, Health and Technology.

Blogs that Make Money Part 2

On regular days I do not have much time for TV not to mention catching up on my favorite Soaps. I have watched on and off “One Life to Live” since I was in junior high. WOW! Anyhow, some of my favorite moments of my childhood was to watch my mom and her friends gather around the TV after dinner to cry and talk to the TV. Really, it was a lot more amusing to watch my Mom and her friends talk about the Novelas (soaps) than actually watching the TV. Plus we were not allowed in the room.

I got hooked watching Novelas when Eric Estrada starred in one; that was the first time MEN openly admitted to watching it. Not because Eric Estrada was in it…it was all because of the Women…… So from curiosity and to make fun at my Dad and my Brother I was hooked.  OKay…..so what does this have to do with blogging????? TONS….

There had been a Novela released several years ago, that I did not get to watch. So, one night working late, I decided to look it up on YouTube…. Sure enough, I found it and many of the current and older ones too. Called my sister and a friend to spread the word. So I figured to start a blog about Novelas.  :)

I had no clue really on the potential or the popularity of it. My blog about Novelas in less than a month had over 500,000 visits. I did nothing other than to post about the Novelas. NO adds, no Entrecard, no myspace etc…. It was all Google traffic. That same month I noticed that any term about Novelas or Latino Gossip that you entered into the search engine I was Number One or number 3.

I could not keep up with the comments and traffic was (is) strong.

Money: Traffic was strong and everyday growing and so where the clicks. However, the payout was very poor with AdSense. I could not use any Affiliate Ads, as my traffic was from all over Latin America and the other Spanish speaking countries. AdBrite, Chitika and WidgetBuck also did not offer any proper payout. Therefore, I started adding a mix of Latino Celeb Gossip and Hollywood Gossip along with Fashion related post. Within a day I saw a HUGE difference. I was making $35.00 in Google Adsense before the changes. The traffic was strong and they where happy clicking fingers but NO Money. Once I made the changes my monthly Adsense now ranges from $236.00 to $800.00.I am also using Kontera and that has made an average of $50.00.

Notes: I know that this blog has the potential to make thousands more, perhaps making it my most profitable blog ever. However, I do not have the time to watch all the Novelas, Reality TV and keep up with the Gossip. I have considered selling it but it would need someone that understands and likes Novelas. At this time, I am only updating it once a week and my Adsense is still strong.

This blog by far is the only blog I have created that has ever had that kind of traffic in less than a month.

My advantage with my Blog about Novelas is that I can speak several languages. I post about Brazilian, Spanish, Italian and English TV.

Blogs that make money Part 1

To better understand how the “Celeb Bloggers” make thousands of dollars a month blogging, I have been running about 6 blogs. Each of these blogs offers a different theme, language, reaching out to different ages groups and some just for women. Doing this took up several hours of my day but at the end it did leave several thousands in my pocket.

Here goes:

Gossip: This one took a while to be picked up by the search engines. I drove traffic by commenting on other top Gossip sites and other blogs. What drove traffic in loads of traffic was to constantly keep up with the latest gossip such as “New Moon”, Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears etc…. Now, Britney Spears had a tour and new singles out and featured them on her blog. So, what I did was blog about them, search for the best Paradoy videos on YouTube post them and place Britney Spears trackback link onto them. Once Britney’s crew approved them, my link would be on the site’s header. I was able to do this several times, getting my link to the top. Yeah me! Right…. actually that was clever. So, I went on to search for other celebs and bloggers offering the same and repeated. It helps drive that temp traffic even as long as two months but then you need to keep that traffic coming in.

Money: Money slowly came in, as the traffic picked up so did the amount of money. Now, I did not run any affiliate links, paid links, or paid post. I only used WidgetBucks, Google Ads and AdBrite. With Google the money main came in from the Searches. The traffic coming into my “Gossip Blog” is of happily clicking fingers. That is truly what you want. However, the payout from Google was not was high as it can be from my other blogs. So, I would post about electronics here and there. Average total for three months $1,112.00 from all sources.

Note: I enjoyed the fact it can really make some serious money and blogging about gossip does not require that I “think”. Not really, once you know or understand where to find the news and how to dramatize it, then its all about you sending traffic to your blog and posting about a variety of things not just gossip. Such as clothing, brands and their rides.

*I noticed that when I posted about the rides some of the Sports Celebs and Celebs had, the pay out was a lot higher.*

Places to get traffic:
Reality TV sites, MTV, TMZ, X17Online, RadarOnline, OMg.yahoo.com, Celebrity Blogs, Myspace, YouTube, Facebook, Fan Sites, Perez Hilton, various magazines etc…..

Have you ever wondered how you can make money blogging about your personal adventures…….. Whether it be a new diet, exercise routine or your passion for fashion……. Well then, I would like for you to meet Kath.

Kath explains how her blog has evolved and now its not just a Food Journal but she also views her blog as a business. Sharing this video with you,  I hope that it sparks a blogger in you. All it takes is an idea to start. Then a bit of patience and perseverance are just a few of the ingredients to a successful blog. Keep in mind that your success is all your own. Whatever you make it out to be. This last year many of us have learned how to adapt to the current economy, found new ways to save, eco friendly, personal growth, relationships and reinvent the “how to” everyday things.

How to Use BlogNet Awards and Make Money

DraggonBlogger has created a helpful video on how to submit a blog to BlogNet Awards.

BlogNet Awards is a great site to submit or vote for other blogs for the prestigious Best Blog Award per category. I really like the fact that I get to find tons of new blogs that I may have not come across. You can enter your blog or you can enter to win Cash prizes. Even if you do not want to participate you can certainly get a good idea on what other bloggers are doing and where they are headed with them.

You can find other bloggers in your niche and perhaps find new ideas for posting, design or even other affiliates you can contact to make money from your blog. You can see what others are saying about the blogs in your category and hopefully that will help in the growth of your own blog.
