Recently a friend of mine called to inform me that Bonanzle had closed his store. He contacted Bonanzle via email and received a timely response via e-mail. The email appeared to be a simple form letter. What was upsetting to him was that Bonanzle closed his account due to the IP address matching to another account recently suspended. No other explanation was provided and most importantly no information on the other sellers account or store name.
Its not fair that my friends account was closed due to someone else logging in. I can appreciate how Bonanzle is trying to protect themselves and the “Buyers”, however, how can a seller in Good Standing make an argument when Bonanzle will not entertain any.
We concluded that it might have been a former employee that might have logged in using the business computers. This could have been devastating to his business if he did not have a store front or other sites where to offer his products.
Lesson Here: Always have other sites or your own webstore to sell your products and advise your team members to use Company PC and Internet ONLY to log in to business accounts.

That is a very unfortunate situation your friend is in. I would be quite pissed off at bonanzle as that is a very poor business move.
Situations like this is why I would much rather setup my own e-commerce site instead of building a store on someone else’s network. It takes a lot of control away from your business. At anytime the network owner can change terms/policies or even shut you or their whole operation down.

Let’s hope for your friends sake that this “former employee” who used the business computers didn’t also get their Paypal account shut down. Paypal also tracks by IP and MAC address.
How unfortunate this happened. But as a long standing Bonanzle seller, I know first hand that although they may err on the side of caution, they have never failed to listen to their sellers, especially those in “Good standing”
Glad to hear your friend had another site going, for The old phrase of ‘dont put your eggs in one basket’ is great advise, for any seller. But I encourage him to contact Bonanzle Support again and get this cleared up. There is REAL people on the other end of Bonanzle support, and they do listen.
Hi Laura, I must say I hadn’t really heard about Bonanzle before reading your post. I went over to their site immediately to find out what they were all about. I’m finding that it’s an interesting place to sell or buy products, but I couldn’t see where it said anything about how they are affiliated with Google. That is something I wondered if you clear up for me. If I was interested in joining Bonanzle do I have to use my Google acct.? I’ve been thinking of selling some things left over from our Emporium that my sister and I had years ago. We still have boxes of left over merchandise that I thought might do well online, just can’t figure out which site I should use to get going. Hey there, Once you have registered it does ask that you enter your Google Account Key. I do not sell on their site so I am not sure where to locate it. But I will open account to look around. Its been over a year since I used their site. Bonanzle has grown and does bring in that traffic and sales. They do not charge unless you sell. You can also try eCrater if you want to accept Google Checkout.

Currently the importer will copy all of your active listings at eBay. There is no way to pick and choose which ones you have. However when they do copy over they will not go live until you update your booth so you will have a chance to edit them.
