If you are in Las Vegas this week it would be a great idea to check out the Furniture Market Show. The economy hit everyone hard; now would be a good time to build a relationship with the Vendors that once had too many restrictions.
Many vendors are now opening accounts for FREE. Meaning some are not charging for catalogs. Which is a great help when you want to take your time to review the items you would like to carry. Most companies are now only asking for first orders to open the account. Some with no Pre-Set amount. What is even more popular now is Drop Ship. That’s right ,ost furniture companies did not offer drop ship. If you decide to use “Drop Ship” service with any of the furniture companies at the show make sure to ask about the additional fees. Some of the companies I buy from charge too much; and is simply not worth it. Since I do have a warehouse, I will have the product shipped to me. “Drop Ship” can help you when you do not have a warehouse or can’t carry large inventory.

The South Shore Furniture is amazing in its design. I agree with Andrea’s post, I did not know that LV hosts these huge shows about pretty much anything, including furniture. Good to know!
So now you have to calculate the total price and be aware of additional fees. Good tactics for the furniture companies to get some extra money.
I’ve lost a hundred dollars because of this drop ship service. I thought it was for free. It will teach me to be more attentive and read contracts next time.
This post reminds me of time spent in High Point, NC. For those who don’t know, it’s considered the furniture capital of America. Almost their entire economy is based on furniture manufacturing, and there are several expos there yearly.
This is very good, that they made free catalogs and made the registration process much easier.
Nice drop ship trick for inattentive customers. Check your contract details before purchasing furniture, so you don’t pay extra.
That was bad that they have raised there prices at the last day of the show. I didn’t purchase the armchair that I liked.

The slogan of this market show: “Buy qualitative furniture at a reasonable price”. I think there is everything said with these words.
