eBay allows you to us up to 55 Characters for your Headline. Keep these 3 tips in mind when creating your headline.
I. Use common and popular words
a. Brand Name
b. Function
c. Style / Design
d. Famous Star / Publicity
Ex:
1. New Wizard of Oz DVD No Scratches Clearance Sale
The above is weak, sure it tells you the Name of the DVD and you might sell it. It’s the Wizard of Oz. We all need to have a copy.
2. Wizard of Oz DVD Musical Collectors Judy Garland Dorothy
This one offers more Keywords, Name, Type of Media, Function and Provides a Name of the fictional character and the Star. The chances are greater listing number 2 will sell but it can also have additional bids. Resulting in a higher Final Sale Price.
II. Use all 55 Characters
a. The characters are made of the letters and spaces. Do not waste any spaces nor use them up with cute Characters like…. l@@k, lQQK, -à, WOW , ***** etc…
b. If you have 2 or 4 spaces left, use NR for No Reserve or Sale
III. Spelling
a. Check it once check it twice
b. Ex. Shirt / shrt
Sure many of us misspell especially working in the wee hours of the night.
(Also, misspellings are a big money maker in themselves. I will discuss this later). For your listings on eBay or any other auction site, try not to misspell. J
I will cover Keywords in mode details later. I will be placing in under the Selling Section of my blog.
The following entries we will cover:
Pictures
Templates
Description
Note: Keywords and tags on your website will differ slightly. I will cover this on a later posting.
That you will find this weekend. For now, go have fun being you J
