Home Base Business Growing Pains

Submitted by whateverebay on January 14, 2009 – 6:37 am11 Comments

If you are finding that your home base business now needs additional support, but you are not ready to hire anyone just yet. Don’t worry, the internet is ready to help.

Customer Service is key. You might find yourself spending a lot more time, answering emails, confirming orders, tracking etc.. and not much time to answer the phone. Hiring is costly, but a wise investment. If you are not ready, you can always have voice mail take the calls for you. However, customers want contact. It can make a difference between a sale or even an unhappy customer.

When I found myself in need of assistance, but yet unsure of where exactly I was headed with my new found success, I opted to source my calls and snail mail to a Virtual Office.

Virtual Office is great for all working from home and handling a bit more than what you set out for. Moving into an Office Space or Warehouse takes a lot of money and research and time prepare to plan your strategy.

Virtual Office offers you several basic services:

A prestigious business mailing address, Telephone number, answering service, mail forwarding and conference office if needed. The prices for these services or packages vary from company and location. You can search on Google for Virtual Office.

You have other options:

Set up another phone line in your house dedicated to your Customers (Fees Vary)

You can use a service like Yahoo Voice or Skype

You can also, offer an IM service for Free or invest money on Live Chat from your website.

Planning ahead and knowing what your options are will help make your transitions a successful one.

I recall the advice I was given, it was simple: “Growing Pains” those two words can make or break your business. I will share my “Growing Pains” with you in order to serve as a guide to you.
