I finally decided to use Godaddy Shopping cart. I have used Godaddy for years for domains and that’s it. I also use Yahoo Business for certain Domain and Shopping Carts as well as Volusion.
I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy it was to create a webstore. I used a standard template, created a logo and got started with the inventory.
They allow for you to import your inventory, however, I have new accounts and none of them are set up on a database to simply upload. So I had to upload every single one. It was not as time consuming as I thought it would be. It did take me several days to fully upload.
The simple Add Products pages is a simple all-in-one, your inventory control, shipping, taxes, images and SEO.
Its only been a few days since published this new site and so far its been easy. I do not feel overwhelmed as I have before with Yahoo. Its plain and simple.
What I do not like is that I cannot offer Amazon Payments or Google Checkout, but you can use your own Merchant account or Paypal.
What shopping cart do you recommend and what are the best features that work for you?

Yep.. GoDaddy is still the king for domains, but I heard its web hosting is not that good though
yes I also agreed that go daddy is still leading site for domain booking. Its easy and user friendly too.

It’s a hosted solution so you don’t have to worry about the technical stuff. All the other bases are also integrated, such as the payment gateways, shipping modules etc. The best thing of all is that it has professional templates or if you have a designer, they can build a custom one for you – or have Haiku create a custom one too.
I didn’t know that Godaddy gave you that many options! Fantastic. I might have to look into them a little more for my webhosting sometime.

There are two options in selecting your overall shopping cart solution. Either you get shopping cart software, download it, install it on your web server, then configure the shopping cart OR you get an online storefront (aka a hosted shopping cart) where the configuration is very basic and the required setup time is minimal.
I recommend buying a script and installing it on your own. The nice thing is that you pay a one-time fee for shopping cart software and the license is good for a lifetime. It’s approximately the same price to have a hosted solution for a year compared to most one time shopping cart license fees.

Would there possibly be an issue with the widget file that controls that navigation? Isn’t it a server based widget? I have the files but the navigation is gone.
The Amazon and Google shopping carts are my favourite, personally.
I’ve personally used Godaddy to buy domains and hosting. Never really had any problems with them. Customer service is top notch as well. The only thing that I would like to see is a quicker checkout process. You can’t get to the payment section without being offered thousands of things from SSL certificates to privacy protection. If you’re listening Godaddy, please try to streamline the checkout process a bit more!
