eCRATER adds eBay Importer

Greeat news, eCRATER has just added eBay importer. You can now easily import the products from your eBay store into eCRATER.  If you are currently selling on eBay and want to help increase your sales now is a great time to also sell on eCRATER. This could not be easier. With Google remocing all eBay listings from its search; opening or moving over to eCRATER would be a smart move.

You can accept Google Checkout and ever Paypal. But what is BETTER that are currently no FEES. List as much as you want, get listed on Googles Shopping Search Engine and start making money.

Back to the eCRATER’s importer: this is how easy it is:

Importing your listings directly from eBay -

eBay xml file

It is also possible to import your eBay store listings in eCRATER. You need to download your ebay store’s export file first.

To create a file of your listings:

1. Go to My eBay.

2. Move your cursor over the Account tab until you see the pull-down menu.

3. Select “Marketing Tools.”

4. In the Store Marketing section on the left side of the page, click the “Listing Feeds” link.

5. In the Search engines and comparison sites section, select “Make a file of your Store Inventory listings available.”

6. Click the Apply button.

Within 12 hours, eBay creates the file and posts it to a web address (URL) based on your Store’s URL. For example, if your Store’s name is “Fine Jewelry,” the file is posted to: http://esssl.ebay.com/GetListings/finejewelry

7. open the URL and save it as an XML file.

III. Final Step

Upload the file. The process of reviewing is manual so we do not guarantee a time frame in which this will happen. If your bulk file failed during the verification phase please click on the error link to see what the issues are and try to fix them. If you are unable to fix them please feel free to email us part of the file (first 100 row max) and we will try to help you. Please do not email us the entire file.

If you are selling elsewhere or have more than 50 products but no more than 10,000  products you will have to submit several bulk files. eCRATER also provides you with the steps to upload in bulk your products.

This should make it easier for you. Are you currently selling on eBay? If so how are your sales? Have you seen a decrease or increase in traffic? Have you given eCRATER a try? How is that doing for you?

Great news, but I don’t understand whether we will have a free fees period from PayPal and Google Checkout or from eCRATER.

  2. Trevor says:

That’s wonderful that eCRATER has added eBay importer, so I won’t have to post again items, just import them.

  3. Prentice says:

To be honest with you, as a buyer I don’t use neither eBay nor eCrater, as a seller I prefer eBay, it’s more reliable.

  4. Interesting. Its very handy tool. I am going to add it in my ebay cart.

  5. Randy says:

I’ve been using this eCrater feature for a month and I’m very satisfied with it, finally I don’t have to input all my products.

  6. Louise from tent shop says:

My Ebay combined postage for an additional item hasn't been recognised, why are they charging extra postage?

  7. Jeffrey says:

This feature is useful if you would like to use this bad working system presented by eCRATER, sorry for my pessimism but I had bad experience with them.

  8. heidi says:

Never heard of this. I’ll try and look if I can import my items here. Anyway, are there any charges?

eCRATER does have its pros and cons. I love the fact that I can post a listing and leave it permanently – since there are no listing fees based on the length of time your listing runs, there is no such thing as re-listing – the listing just stays there until the items sells, or if you have an endless supply of the item, it stays until you remove it.

Am trying to bulk import items from ebay store (in advance of the crushing new store rules) but ran into a snag…ecrater instructions say in part “Select Marketing Tools…In the Store Marketing section on the left side of the page, click the ‘Listing Feeds’ link.” The problem is that when I go there, there is no “Listing Feeds” link, only something called “Listing Frame”…

  11. Lloyd says:

You can’t use eBay importer unless you have an eBay store. Listing a few items regularly at eBay does not count. I am guessing hence is your store download issues. But if anyone used it and know more about it, and I am wrong then I hope they will step in to help and explain.

  12. Goetsch says:

I hope someone can help me i signed up for a ecrater account and don’t know how to get my items imported from ebay to ecrater. I clicked on the phrase import from ebay and it says ebay is waiting. Need step by step HELP

  13. whateverebay says:

@Goetsch – for your ebay items to successfully import they would have to be as Store Items, it will not import Auction items. Hope that helps :)

Another thing that will help you avoid swine flu is to get your exercise. While this may not be the best time to go to a crowded gym, a long hike in nature can do wonders for your immune system, your general health, and your psyche.

  15. Robin says:

I’m seeing the same thing as you and I have an eBay store. The closest thing I see is RSS Feeds, which doesn’t seem to lead to any other links as described. I would contact eCrater about it. It might be that eBay has changed the links since eCrater wrote those instructions. I’ve never done the import process; maybe someone who has will add some more info.

  16. Frank says:

That’s great to know. I have used both recently and haven’t had any complaints from either. That’s just one more option I can have now, awesome. Thanks for the information, it will definitely be used here!

  17. Young says:

Great news, but I don’t understand whether we will have a free fees period from PayPal and Google Checkout or from eCRATER.

  18. Tony says:

Thanks for the walkthrough. It’s been very helpful.

  19. Keep up the great work!
