eBay Sellers Can Use ProPay for Payments

ProPay partners with eBay. As previously announced eBay will allow the use of ProPay for sellers. ProPay the following features to sellers:

· A fully functioning merchant account – Once your ProPay account is set up, you can accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover from anyone whether they have a ProPay account or not.

· Online virtual terminal – Key in mail, phone, or in-person transactions with ProPay’s online virtual terminal.

· Faster Funds – The funds from processing your customers’ credit cards may be available in your account within 24 hours.

· ProPay card reader – This revolutionary service allows you to process transactions securely without ever collecting, processing, or storing sensitive cardholder data. The ProPay card reader can process transactions real-time or you can collect transaction data remotely while away from your computer and process them later.

· Telephone processing – Get immediate authorization for mobile transactions with ProPay’s interactive telephone (IVR) system.

· Email invoices – Send an email to your customer requesting payment via a secure online payment form.

· Fixed rates – With ProPay, what you see is what you get. You’ll always know exactly what you’ll pay for each transaction.

· Live customer support – Our customer support representatives are available to help you with your questions and concerns Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 8:00pm Central Time.

ProPay does charge an Annual Member Fee, the Interest is higher and monthly limitations are placed. For high volume Sellers this option is not recommend. You may want to keep all your options open; its always a good idea to establish yourself with various online payment services.

Get your own Merchant Account. Its not as difficult as you might think. You will stand a better chance at a lower rate and would not have such low selling limits.

Some Merchant Services may place restrictions on your account based on your credit history.

Such restrictions may be:

1) Holding a percentage from each Sale for a set amount of time

2) Additional Guarantor

The majority of the Merchant Services will also require a personal guaranty. If you must sign one make sure to your consult your Business Attorney.

I will also open an account with this site for the new eBay sellers account I plan to open. This should be interesting.

ProPay service is horrible! I used them a few years ago not to mention they limit your processing amount. I use 2checkout.com now and have never had any issues with them.

Please let us know how your new eBay account works out for you. We’d like to hear about it.

As far as those who want to open merchant accounts for eBay, you should definitely do your research to find out what provider will best meet your needs. Our eBay accounts are set up and priced to provide serious sellers with smooth and secure transactions.

@Tara: I’m sorry you had a bad experience with us before. As far as the limit on processing amounts, we do this to better manage risk and keep our costs down. We’ve worked to raise these limits so they don’t become an obstacle to the growth of our trusted merchants. I’m glad you found a good provider for you. :)

@Tara ~ Thanks for sharing your experience and providing us with an alternative. I have visited their site and plan to contact them as well.

@Brandon ~ Thanks for stopping by. I will post once I have opened my account and processed some transactions. I think Propay is an alternative to be explored. The advantge of your service is that you are eBay approved and many sellers need alternatives to Paypal and should not limit themselves.

  7. I’ve been surfing on-line more than three hours nowadays, yet I by no means found any attention-grabbing article like yours. It is beautiful price enough for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content material as you did, the web will likely be much more helpful than ever before.
