I think this is great. Like any website that involves buying and selling items, customers and sellers alike want to make sure that they are taken care of. I know many people in the past may not have had a very good experience dealing with eBay regarding an issue, but as the top auction website online.

I should fully refund the buyer and they keep all the fees I have paid them, plus I loose my shipping costs. Buyer returns item to me but not in same condition as I shipped it to him. Now I can add the lost value of the item also. Thank you.

Although eBay is increasing its charges I still will continue using it, because I’m very satisfied of their security.

I’ve been always a big ebay fan, i buy alot of things there, since the prices are interesting and its very convenient. However recently i incurred in far too many problems, that made me rethink of my ebay businesses.

Don’t ya just love how ebay comes acrossed as a customer’s best friend. doesn’t it just give you a warm fuzzy feeling all over ? not me. I’m a powerseller that has been selling for 11 years. When I started selling if you put in the auction “not responsible for items once shipped” that was the end of it. Now they take away the option to charge for insurance so sellers either risk shipping without it or pay for it out of their own pocket because we are responsible for any item we sell until it gets in the customers hands.

The worst thing with ebay’s protection is the so called partial refund if the product you receive is a bit different from what you order.

Unfortunately those protection features aren’t always working, I have several friends who lost their money while buying from ebay with so called protection.

To new houses in Idaho: it’s not ebay’s customers. It’s the sellers customers. You’re not buying from ebay. the seller is not an employee of ebay.

To Pauline: you can choose how you want to do your business. google (your city name) yard sales. if no results enter the next larger city name+yard sales. maybe you’ll get lucky and run into “bookoo”. they run the sites kinda like craigslist only 100 times better. i sell a lot of ours.no fees no hassles,no rule changes.just honest folks doing business.

This is a good news. At least buyers are not hesitant in buying products at ebay because ebay cares on their customers.
