ck in October Google announced changes to be to their Shopping search engine “Froogle”. As you know I sell on several of the online sties. The top four being eCrater, Amazon, Bonanzle and yes….eBay. Up until October my sales on eCrater were about the same as on eBay, close to 30% of my total sales. Amazon came in a strong second and Bonanzle last.
eBay and Amazon are such huge Brands that you would think the changes Google made would not impact them but I find that it did. At least it was clearly evident with eBay and eCrater. The traffic and sales now generated in eBay represents only 15% of my sales each month. The change could had impacted my overall sales a great deal. Surprisingly, the difference in sales was made-up through the leads generated by Bonanzle. Bonanzle was one of the first sites to announce its full compliance with Google’s changes. For what I have seen its working and doing well for me. Help yourself and Drive traffic to your estore and other marketplaces placing Free ads.
Are you offering your items through Bonanzle? Have you experienced a decline in traffic from any of the sites since Google made changes?

Thanks, if you know of any other sites sending good leads let me know. Would love for you to share your insider info, as you have been in the retail business as well. Thanks for checking in
I have tried selling on eBay some stuff two months ago. It was my first selling experience with eBay and it was very negative. I wasn’t able to sell a thing but had to pay ebay for listing about 100 pounds (which I didn’t and had account suspended).
I think that google’s Froogle soon will start banning results from other shopping carts.
If google is entering the auction market, then I think it will be hard for companies like eBay, eCrater and Amazon to appear in top results of SERPs.
I have heard that Bonanzle is trying to be the simplest marketplace online, with an upbeat community that makes buying and selling fun again. But still there are no results.
I know that Bonanzle marketplace is now conducting its first seller survey. The motto of Bonanzle is “everything but the ordinary.”
I’ve been looking for Froogle on web, but unfortunately it isn’t working for the moment, google is just testing the beta version so we’ll have to wait.
I Joined Bonanzle about 6 months ago. I like this site, its very professional and has a great look. I don’t sell anything even close to the amount I sell on eBay but I have sold some stuff which is more than I can say for iOffer , eBid etc, etc. I don’t really do the whole online community thing but the people on Bonanzle seem very friendly. If your an eBay seller who hates eBay
I have an account on Bonanzle, it feels like a majority of the people there are just to sell, and I have had 100 views but no sells, on ebay I made a few sells at least. My prices are set at a decent price for their condition like a new Coach bag without tags for 170 dollars, that’s cheap, other people sell used handbags for 200 or up, and the new ones are always 250 to 300. So far, even with all the people on Bonanzle I have not sold anything and with all the discount and sales, nothing, at least on ebay there was more traffic and more sells, I guess I have to go back to ebay and suck it out with their fees. : (
The best thing in Bonanzle is when you want to sell an item, you simply click the sell button and fill out a basic single screen listing page; you will need to provide an item title, category, description, price and choose the shipping options from a drop-down menu. It is important to note several key features within the listing screen.
Bonanzle is a non-auction marketplace specializing in “Everything but the Ordinary,” which means they are not trying to compete with sites like Amazon. There are many facets to recommend Bonanzle as a viable selling venue. Sellers may import active auctions from both eBay and CraigsList, and it hosts a single page form to list an item. There are no complex multiple pages, redirections or going back when posting your listing.
Bonanzle is a great online shopping experience. Most merchants here are also on Ebay and Amazon. But, because Bonanzle’s fees to sellers are so much less, so are the products you buy. When Puchasing on-line check here first for comparisons. Most items have negotiable pricing. Don’t forget to negotiate.
A co-worker of mine is close to dumping Bonanzle from her list. She has not been satisfied over the last year of so. There is hardly any traffic anymore for her and she cannot keep wasting time with it. Thanks for the information.
